Dr. McMillan retired after serving the Raleigh area as a periodontist for 42 years. He received his DDS(‘71) and MS(’73) from the University of North Carolina School of Dentistry. He spent 3 years as a US Navy periodontist at US Naval Station, Rota, Spain before returning to Raleigh. In addition to his private practice, he has served as a clinical instructor in the UNC Graduate Periodontics Program and was the Taskforce Chair in starting the Wake Smiles indigent care program.
Nahal Miller, DDS
Dr. Nahal Miller was born in Mallorca, Spain, and lived in several countries before her family settled in the United States when she was a teenager. Dr. Miller received her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston in 2004. She completed the Advanced Education in General Dentistry Residency at the University of North Carolina in 2005, and began practicing in the Triangle area shortly afterward.
Dr. Miller practices at Apex Family Dentistry, she believes in providing all her patients with high quality compassionate dental care, a little bit of humor, and in a relaxed environment. Dr. Miller believes in being of service to humanity, she spends her free time volunteering at Wake Smiles, traveling the world with her husband Trevor, and cheering on the Clemson Tigers.

Dr. Wright is a life-long resident of North Carolina and enjoys many of the outdoor activities that are offered in our beautiful state. He is married and has four active children. He maintains a strong commitment to his family and his local church.

Nancy St. Onge, RDH, BS
Nancy completed her Dental Hygiene education at the UNC Adams School of Dentistry and her B.S. degree in Health Occupations Teacher Education at NC State University. She has worked as a clinician and administrator in general, perio and pediatric practices along with serving for several years as the Oral Health Educator with the UNC Adams School of Dentistry Pediatric Department. She is a past president of the North Carolina Dental Hygienists’ Association, delegate to the American Dental Hygienists’ Association, member of the NC State Board of Dental Examiners for six years and is currently serving another 3-year term. She is a distinguished alumnus of UNC Dental Hygiene and recipient of the Special Recognition Award from the NC Dental Society. In addition, she served as a member of the Oral-B Dental Hygiene Advisory Board and Guest Lecture Board. She retired in 2019 as adjunct clinical assistant professor with the UNC Dental Hygiene program.
Linda Kinney, MHA
Linda Kinney is the executive director of Care Share Health Alliance, a statewide non-profit with a mission of collaborating for health equity. Linda is responsible for the overall vision, strategic direction, operations, and fundraising for Care Share. She has expertise in collaboration building, cross-organizational network development, strategic planning, leadership development and program design and implementation. Prior to joining Care Share she served as the director of health access and operations manager for the Buncombe County Medical Society Foundation. where she directed Project Access and has been instrumental in replicating the model across NC. Linda has a background in fundraising and community organizing through her work with the Girls Scouts of Western NC and the United Farm Workers Union in South Texas. Linda received her undergraduate degree in Psychology from University of Wisconsin at Madison and her Masters’ of Health Administration from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
Sommer Wisher, RDH, BS
Sommer Wisher is a proud Tarheel, graduating with her BS in Dental Hygiene from UNC School of Dentistry. Prior to being in the dental profession, Sommer worked for over 12 years in the nonprofit sector both locally and globally. Her career in private practice and volunteer work with Wake Smiles is a perfect combination to keep her passion for dentistry and access to care alive. Sommer was an Adjunct Clinical Professor at UNC School of Dentistry in the Dental Hygiene Department, a member of the UNC Dental Hygiene Community Advisory Committee and UNC Dental Hygiene Strategic Planning Advisory Board and is the Immediate-Past President of the North Carolina Dental Hygienists’ Association. Sommer loves spending time with her family, being outdoors and baking.
